Chris Fraser

Founder of School of ADHD Coaching

I am an ICF PCC trained ADHD coach with thousands of hours of experience with clients of all types, from creatives to entrepreneurs and everything in between. My background includes teaching in a variety of countries across the Mediterranean, as well as in finance at the Bank of England. My coaching approach is informed by living with ADHD and multiple disabilities, I am always curious to understand the details of each clients’ situation, and how they inform the coaching space.

I have also trained as a supervisor at ICCS and as an ICF Mentor Coach at Solutions Academy.

When I'm not coaching, I play wheelchair rugby with my local club, the Berkshire Banshees. I’m also studying rugby coaching with Great Britain Wheelchair Rugby and enjoying learning to apply some of the things I have learned in my day job to a very different context. You can sometimes find me at the Berkshire wildlife parks taking my meetings with the capybaras.

The story of SOAC

The reason I trained as an ADHD Coach was because I had a great ADHD Coach. I was working in a corporate role, and in need of a new direction, I started to feel that  this is something I really wanted to pursue. As I went through my training, I realised a couple of things. What I really wanted was to be able to dive into the rich background around coaching and ADHD through the lens of executive functioning. I wanted any course that I created to feel well researched, based in professional practice and to be rigorous in its approach.

My feeling from my background as a teacher is that an ADHD Coaching course should practice what it preaches, it should itself be ADHD and neurodiversity friendly, through being relentlessly focused on student outcomes and experience. Coaching is a vocational thing that involves  practice and feedback. I want people to learn by doing. This also means that I wanted the course to have facilitators who can hold the quality of space that can help move students from beginners to skilled and confident coaches.

Ever since I trained to be a coach I have made versions of this course. I have run memberships and courses about ADHD, I have taught these concepts in businesses and for neurodiversity networks. This has all led to this course, alongside thousands of hours of coaching ADHD clients, which for me brings everything I've learnt about coaching and teaching and ADHD together and hopefully also contributes to the growing evidence base of ADHD coaching’s efficacy.

I built the School of ADHD Coaching course with a brilliant team of contributors who have all made an impact with their own special brand of genius. You can find out more about them here:
